Cancellation & Refund Policy
Our Promise to You
At Barqya, we want every experience to be smooth and stress-free. If something doesn’t go as planned, we’ll do our best to make it right. This policy explains when and how you can cancel a booking or request a refund — in plain, simple terms.
1. Cancellations — Software Consultations
If you need to cancel a remote software consultation:
- Cancelled 24+ hours before the session: Full refund, no questions asked
- Cancelled less than 24 hours before the session: A cancellation fee of up to 50% may apply, as our technician’s time has already been reserved
- No-show (you don’t attend without notice): No refund will be issued
To cancel, simply email us at support@barqya.com or use the contact form on our website or contact us on WhatsApp support number +92 XXX XXX XXXX. Please include your booking reference number.
2. Cancellations — Hardware Consultations
For hardware repair bookings where pickup is involved:
- Cancelled before pickup: Full refund if cancelled before our technician arrives for pickup
- Cancelled after pickup: If your laptop has already been collected, a partial refund may be issued after deducting any diagnostic or handling costs already incurred
- After repair is completed: No refund can be issued once the repair work has been carried out and the laptop returned to you
We always inform you of the diagnosis and estimated cost before beginning any repair work, so you can decide whether to proceed.
3. Refunds — Software Consultations
We want you to be satisfied with your session. Here’s how refunds work:
- Issue not resolved: If our technician is unable to fix your problem after a full session, we will offer either a free follow-up session or a partial refund, depending on the situation
- Service not delivered: If we fail to connect or deliver the session due to a fault on our end, you will receive a full refund
- Resolved but unsatisfied: If the issue was resolved but you feel the service didn’t meet expectations, please contact us within 48 hours and we’ll review your case fairly
4. Refunds — Hardware Consultations
- If the repair was completed successfully, no refund will be issued
- If a repair was attempted but the fault could not be fixed, we will refund the repair fee (diagnostic or handling charges may still apply)
- If your laptop was damaged while in our care — which we take every precaution to prevent — we will take full responsibility and work with you on a fair resolution
- Refunds for hardware jobs are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and typically processed within 5–7 business days
5. Refunds — Laptop Purchases
If you purchased a laptop or accessory from the Barqya Store:
- Change of mind: Returns accepted within 24 hours of delivery, provided the item is unused, in original condition, and in original packaging
- Defective or incorrect item received: Contact us within 48 hours of delivery. We will arrange a free pickup and offer a replacement or full refund
- Refurbished laptops: Any pre-existing conditions are disclosed at the time of sale. Refunds are not applicable for issues that were clearly mentioned in the product description
Refunds for purchases are processed within 5–7 business days to your original payment method.
6. How to Request a Refund
Requesting a refund is easy:
- Email us at support@barqya.com
- Include your name, booking or order reference, and a brief description of the issue
- Our team will review your request and respond within 2 business days
- If approved, your refund will be processed within 5–7 business days
7. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:
- You changed your mind after a repair was completed
- The problem recurred due to user actions after the session (e.g. installing the same software again)
- You provided incorrect information about the issue at the time of booking
- A no-show without prior notice
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date at the top.
